Sitting at the foot of a breathtaking rock face, at the edge of a peaceful private lake, the elegantly understated Inn is one of America’s most beloved historic hotels, a beacon still calling visitors to come away and relax, to come away and reconnect with family, friends and nature. In 2020 and 2021, the Beall family and the leadership team behind Blackberry Farm worked to restore the Inn as it was historically. With its bark-sided exterior, wrap-around porches and rustic wood-paneled interiors, the charming structure embodies the very essence of rustic mountain luxury. Protected as part of the National Registry of Historic Places, this American treasure has been thoughtfully restored and carefully updated with modern amenities, and is ready once again to welcome another century of guests. The property’s 100-year history offered so much inspiration in the restoration and experience that the team had no intention of recreating the experience found at a Blackberry property. Their goal was to restore an important North Carolina landmark and continue to invite families to a relaxed, laid-back experience in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
