What People Are Saying

“As a first time conference attendee I was struck by and candidly inspired by the camaraderie/professionalism and shared interests of all the attendees.  Really a first class organization (not to mention this year’s destination at the Old Edwards Inn), just spectacular.

I particularly enjoyed that this was not a “brand” experience as all the hoteliers in attendance represented different brands and companies which led to some very interesting, meaningful dialogue and discussion with very senior and experienced industry leaders!

I will look forward to attending next year’s conference and for many years afterwards.”

— Mark Castriota, Managing Director, JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District

“Joining the Southern Innkeepers Association as an Allied Member has been one of the best decisions, both personally and professionally, that I’ve made in my more than 50 years in the hospitality industry.  Having built, owned, and directed five-star luxury hospitality operations, it is thoroughly rewarding and a pleasure to be in the company of my fellow hoteliers who are similarly inclined, experienced, and dedicated.  As a board member of SIA as well as of the Association of Lodging Professionals and Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals, and a member of the Cornell Hotel Society and numerous regional lodging associations nationwide, I value membership and active involvement in associations like SIA for the professional growth, camaraderie, and the pathway to giving back to the future success of the hospitality community that such membership provides”.
